Quite a bit off the beaten track but worth it if you're into aboriginal history. There is a mini museum, a fort, and an exhibit of Métis accommodations. Workers also dress up in outfits and teach old school candle making, and bannock baking.

Amazing !! The history ... so well interpreted. Best kept secret out here! And not even 1 hour drive from Red Deer. And now you can even have a camping experience in a trapper cabin. The fresh-made bannock was a treat as well.

Great staff, so informative. Staff also helped guide us on our travels through the province. Loved sleeping in the teepee, it is colder than a tent so come prepared
